Our History

Braemar Casbarian Inc. (BC) was formed in July 2011 and acquired the business of Casbarian Engineering Associates L.L.C. (CEA).  BC is a component business unit of Braemar Technical Services along with:

Braemar Steege - Energy Insurance Loss Adjusting and Expert Witness Services  Braemar (Incorporating the Salvage Association) – Marine Surveying and Technical  Consultancy   

The origin of CEA traces back to 1980 when Barnett & Casbarian Inc. (BCI) was founded by Capt. Clifton Barnett and Dr. Peter Casbarian.  BCI was recognized as a worldwide leader in platform design, verification services and marine warranty surveying.  In 2002, Saipem acquired BCI which was then merged with Petro-Marine Engineering.  The combined companies, Petro-Marine / Barnett & Casbarian Inc (PMBCI) provided extensive design capabilities and a diverse range of consulting capabilities.

In 2004, CEA was formed by Dr. Casbarian and other senior engineers from PMBCI and continued the design, consulting and verification services that had become associated with the name.     

BC has offices in New Orleans, Houston and Port of Spain, Trinidad.  Our team of professionals includes engineers, naval architects, construction superintendents, designers and drafters.  The combined talent of this group is dedicated to providing cost effective and innovative design solutions to meet the needs of our clients.  The commitment to excellence is demonstrated through our performance in each discipline.
